full bloom

I don't know why I still look forward to fridays so much, considering I am a full time SAHM, but I do.  I would assume it's because the hubs is free for two whole days and we can play all day.
A recap of our week, we played outside, A LOT.  The kids rode their bikes, ran all over, enjoyed the park, and chased and blew loads of bubbles.
Ryan had a dentist appointment and didn't like it much until he got his sugar free lollipop.
Lastly, my hubs, Eric had his second chemotherapy treatment.  His treatment lasts for two full days and by friday he is done.  Tomorrow, we head to the oncologists to finish his treatment.  This week has been harder than last, he is more sick and tired.  To keep his spirits up, we are going to see Iron Man 2 tomorrow night.  Eric loves movies.  He can quote most and has even been in a few back in the day.
On Saturday, we, me and the boys, my friend Denise and her family, and my mom in law will be participating in the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Walk.  I look forward to this walk every year and this year even more.  Now that my husband has cancer, I know that we will help, in our own way, better the lives of all those affected with cancer.  Are their any charities or walks/runs you participate in?

Our flowers are in full bloom around our house.  I love Spring and all the beauty it brings.
Have a great weekend, loves.  Any plans?

a bit of this & that

I am always on the lookout for art for my boys rooms.  Since we are working on numbers and counting, I think this Animal African Safari Counting Poster {from Smiles and Squiggles} is a perfect fit.

Speaking of my boys, we've been doing a lot of this this week.

The weather is perfect here, so we're taking advantage and enjoying the outdoors.  How about you?

on the lookout

I have been searching for images of curtains online to try and get a better idea of what I want for our dining room.  It's hard to decide since I don't have a dining room set up, meaning, I haven't picked out chairs, a table, rug, nothing!  Regardless, a decision has to be made so I've found some images that are drawing me in.  Do you like?  What do your dining rooms look like?

windows

This is my incomplete dining room.  This week we are having a designer come out and give ideas, measure and whatever else regarding what they see fit for this space of windows.  We need tall curtains to add privacy and to help with the temperature.

Just a bit of background, we have espresso cabinets throughout our house, the kitchen is cream cabinets with espresso wood floors.  The floors in this dining room are a creamy tile and the walls are a deep cream with white crown moulding.  I wish I could show you a dining room table but we haven't found one yet that we both can agree on.  I want round the hubs wants rectangle.

What are your thoughts or recommendations for this wall of windows?

looking back

While searching through our photos the other day, I noticed I never showed you pics of our family photo shoot, actually I still don't have them from the photographer, but I do have our day of fun that followed the shoot.  First stop, Fairytale Town.

You can see my boys love to slide and there are plenty of them at Fairytale Town where fairytales and nursery rhymes are brought to life.  Fairytale Town is located in Land Park which also houses a beautiful park with a pond, the Sacramento Zoo and Funderland.  There's too much to do in a day but with so much to enjoy we visit lots!

Second Stop, Zocalo's, a delicious mexican restaurant.  Their margaritas are amazing as are their enchiladas and guacamole.  Also, the look is cool and inviting with walls of sliding doors that bring the outdoors in.  It's the perfect end to a perfect day.

How was your weekend?
