When I ran this (actually the half marathon) back in October of 2008, unbeknownst to me while pregnant with Ryan, I was amazed at how many women came together for this event. It is truly inspiring.
Last night, I began my training at the gym. I ran and walked for 40 minutes and almost puked while doing it, which I always find to be a good sign. Weird, I know...
Today the boys and I are off again to the gym so this mama can run while her little kittens play.
On a different note, tomorrow we are having a family photo shoot, with our friend Mike of Mike Gellerman Photography. We are having our pictures shot at Land Park in Sacramento, which is next to Fairytale Town and the Sacramento Zoo. Following our mini photo shoot, we'll head over to one of these fun places.
Much to the chagrin of others, my little men will be wearing matching outfits, yellow polo tops and jeans. The hubs and I aren't sure what we'll wear... Should we or should we not match? Any recommendations?

Good luck getting into the race and on your family photos! We took some fam photos recently and while we didn't all match exactly, we kind of stuck to the same color palette, which was varying shades of brown (It was a fall photo shoot, so I think that influenced my color choice). BTW, I live in Northern Cali too!
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah! I used to be a big runner, but not so much anymore. If I did, though, I would definitely want to enter, there's something about running a big race that is just so much fun! Good luck with the photo shoot, I would go for a few matching elements, but not totally matchy-matchy, ya know? Anyway, great blog, I'm a new follower!

Why are poeople unhappy about your boys matching?? I don't always have them match but more so "coordinate."
ReplyDeleteThat's what we did at our photo shoot last week. I think it makes photos look better, that's just me though. I think you guys should coordinate as well.
Someday maybe perhaps, I won't and see what it turns out like.
Good luck on the run. I am SO not a runner, but my hubs is, er, a was. He's run in 2 marathons,a couple half marathons and a bunch of 10 and 5'k.s He just doesn't have the time now, but wishes he could.
Maybe you guys could wear something patterned with yellow in it?
