The time is here

and it's already setting records... According to CNN.com Eclipse' makes $30 million in 3 hours: Not only did "Eclipse" have the largest domestic release ever when it opened in 4,408 theaters on June 30, but it's also banked more than $30 million at the box office between midnight and 3 a.m. alone. (Oh and by the way, if this movie somehow hasn't made it to a theater near you, 29 additional theaters will play the movie come Friday, according to EW.)
This makes "Eclipse" the new midnight opening record holder, knocking the film's predecessor, "New Moon," out of the top spot. The second installment in the series earned $26.3 million at midnight showings when it opened in November, 2009.
As Gossip Cop points out, "New Moon" went on to earn $72.7 million on its opening day, so we can only guess what the first day totals for "Eclipse" are going to look like.
Tonight the hubs and I head to our local theatre to watch the much anticipated return of the Twilight Saga Eclipse.
We both loved the books and love the movies.  I am wishing about now that I was Stephanie Meyers, who is making some serious dollars... I guess I'll just have to come up with a book that engages kids and adults alike and that catches the interest of Hollywood so the series can be make into feature films...
Seriously, I am excited to see this movie as well as spend the evening with the hubs {my Edward}.  After the movie we'll head to dinner at Sienna, a new restaurant in town.  I hope it takes as good as it looks.

Cheers!

Dot the Dog is a winner

Please excuse the mess here at The Dish today. It looks as if my blog is having some technical issues.  My last post pics weren't showing anymore and now my header and photos are covered in a gray band. I am working on getting it fixed.
In good news, I, actually my dog, Dot the Dog, won a Eco-friendly Harry Barker Dog Bed. Thanks to Jamie of i suwannee and her pup Rowdy for hosting this fantastic giveaway.
Dot the Dog will soon be resting easy on this bed soon.  He is getting a medium sized bed in the color blue and rectangular in shape.
If you want this bed for your dog, head on over to allmodernpet.com

loving lotus

While searching google the other night for fabric by Madeline Weinrib, up popped Lotus Bleu, a San Francisco boutique and design shoppe headed by the seriously talented Jeannie Fraise. Since my latest discovery, I have been devouring all of Jeannie's interiors that she has so beautifully designed.  Two of my favorites are these two kids bedrooms and adjoining bathrooms.  Like?

Fellow bloggers, I've missed this world I am somehow apart of.  Life is complicated right now with this mama and I am doing my best to manage it and sometimes The Dish gets left behind, only temporarily of course.  Tonight, once the wee ones were put to bed, I spent my time catching up on my favorite blogs and realized I have missed a lot but happy to be blogging again.
Have a Happy Friday Friends!

A Peek

On Father's Day we lunched outside at Town Center and enjoyed sandwiches and pasta from Mama Ann's.  It was a beautiful day coupled with beautiful surroundings.  Most of the architecture where we live seems to lean towards Mediterranean influence.  The hubs and I explored the Mediterranean this past September and fell in love with all of it's beauty so to live around the architecture that reminds us of our travels is quite a treat.
Up close of Town Center.

Jake eating his lunch while watching the water.
View of the hills surrounding Town Center.
Ryan running around. He and Jake loved feeding the ducks their lunch.
The ducks.

All of the Olive Trees are so beautiful.
The Olive Trees all lined up. I can't get enough of them.

A glimpse of Sunday's Farmer's Market.

I hope you enjoyed a peek into where we live.

It's Elmo time

Hello Friends ~ It's been awhile since I've posted on The Dish.  Things have been overwhelming around here.  Good news, Eric returned from the hospital yesterday {I'll explain later} so, we'll be home more.
Although this week is filled with planning and projects...
Why you ask...
Well, my baby boy Ryan is turning 2.  His birthday party is this Saturday and we have family coming from as far as Arizona to attend so planning is in high gear.
We are having a Elmo themed bash, he's his favorite.  In a few minutes we {the boys and I} are off to pick Ryan's Cake or Cupcakes from Karen's Bakery {a local fav of mine}.
Here are some inspiration photos:

Besides planning the bash I have loads of other things to take care...
First on my list...
1.  Paint Ryan's room.  His new bedroom furniture arrives on Wednesday and I want to be able to put the finishing touches on his room before our guests arrive this Friday.
2.  Finish hanging photos that are lying around our house instead of hanging on walls.
3. Clean the house from top to bottom.
4. Take The Hubs to his doctors appointments.
5. Finish the Backyard.  The concrete was poured on Saturday and this Thursday they come to seal it... After they seal it, it takes 24 hours to set before we can walk on it... Which means the sprinklers, grass, plants and flowers would all have to be planted on Friday... Impossible it seems, we'll see.

I could go on and on but that's all the time I have for now.  I can't wait to catch up on all my favorite blogs this week....
Happy Monday!
