one dress + four looks

Ann Taylor dress last season

For weeks now, I've been seeing other bloggers do outfit posts with one piece of clothing but done several ways so I decided to join in on the fun.  Here is one of my go to dresses for spring/summer and a few ways I like to wear it.

Louis Vuitton Carry-All bag, vintage belt, BP shoes for Nordstrom, Old Navy necklace

Joan & David shoes, Ann Taylor Loft sweater, Old Navy necklace, Ann Taylor belt, Marc Jacobs bag

Chanel Purse, Cookie Lee necklace, gold and silver vintage necklace, Coach shoes

Old Navy Denim Jacket, Cookie Lee necklace, two strands of pearls, Chanel purse, Gap shoes

I had so much fun putting these looks together to share with all of you.
Hope you enjoyed them too.
What is your go to dress for this spring/summer?

Snowed in + a birthday

In yesterday's post I mentioned that I would post pictures of our trip to Lake Tahoe, Nevada today. Lake Tahoe is our go to spot to ski and enjoy the great outdoors.  Lately we've been traveling to Northstar Ski Resort.  We rented a cabin via VRBO and had such a great experience. If you click on VRBO or here you can catch a glimpse of the cabin we rented.  It was clean and very comfortable and I know I can speak for the entire family, we would rent it again.

This past Saturday was my birthday.... How old do you think I turned?  Ah, I wouldn't do that to you. I am now 35 and I am feeling a lil bit older friends.  Before I was in my early 30's and now I am in my mid. It hurts a bit but I am loving my 30's and who I have become and hope to continue to be.

Do you have trouble with aging?

family time

We've been spending a lot of time with our family lately.  Two weekends ago we rented a cabin with some of them and got in much needed family time.  We talked, ate, drank and chilled in the hot tub.  Here are some snapshots of the cousins playing. Thanks to Auntie Mary who watched the kids so we could enjoy an afternoon together in the Villages at Northstar Ski Resort.  Eric and I shopped and ate while the others skied. A great trip indeed, more on it tomorrow.

Happy Monday friends.

Urban Home

Through blogging I have discovered what it means to make something old new.  I used to buy everything new and while I still do for certain pieces, I am open to revamping a old piece of furniture and making it my own.  A local shop, Urban Home, actually it's about an hour away from me in Berkeley, is a favorite of mine.  They have modern pieces paired with traditional as well as a fantastic inventory.  Here are some pieces I have my eye on.

Do you shop consignment and thrift shops?
Any good ones you know about in the Sacramento and San Francisco Bay Area?

Score at NG

Thanks to Chassity at Look Linger Love for introducing me to Nasty Gal's online shop.  Despite their name they have fun pieces that are a must for your wardrobe.  Are these Cheetah's not delish?

Aren't these Jeffrey Campbell Platform Pumps a must have for any wardrobe?

These soft colors are so light and pretty.  I love how the volume adds interest too.

These Sam Edelmen shoes rock.... I am loving the stud look right now.

This jacket is structured but so wearable. I luv it.

If you have yet to discover this gem make sure to pop by Nasty Gal. Oh and everything is reasonable in price, score!

Target Chic

Thanks to Mandy from Dash it All blog,  I discovered this fun video for Target's Go Collective. I couldn't stop watching it and while watching it I began picking out which piece I wanted. Have you shopped the Target Go Collective? My favs so far are...

I know with such a low price point I should snatch each one of the beauties from Target but I am still not sure which one(s) I want.  Are any of these your favs too?
