Melange

The other day I finally decided that I had to visit Melange even with my little ones in tow. This is no easy task, taking a 15 month old and 33 month old into an antique store. I have to say though, it was a success. Jacob listened every step of the way and didn't break a thing.
This shop is located in Old Folsom off of Sutter Street.
Here is the front

Fell in love with the print on these chairs but they were a bit pricey.

My favorite mirror. Might have to get it for my kitchen (if it's the right size).  I'd paint it red and make it a chalkboard. Any thoughts?

I feel in love with this mirror too, just as it is. Although it was over $100 bucks which seemed high.
Is it worth it?

I liked this pink chalkboard because it was lightweight and perfect for Jakes room, although I'd change the color.

More mirrors.

Maybe when this one goes on sale I'll snatch it up.

Another nice mirror. See the white antique door on the right? It was on sale for $25 bucks and I am considering using it as a desktop for a desk in my guest/craft room.
Good idea or bad idea?

Bye for now

Discovering Craigslist

Craigslist is my newest discovery and this week I made my first purchase.

I found a Kidkraft Train Table with two bins for $40 bucks. Considering this retails for around $300, I feel know that I got a great deal. For now it will stay this Honey Color but I plan on painting it red, what do you think?

It will be in my boys playroom between the couch and TV so I am thinking it will act as a train/coffee table for the space.

I heart Lumens

My Internet doesn’t want to work in our new house. It works one minute and not the next.  End result, I can’t get much done.
No blogging = no great design ideas from my fellow bloggers = :(
No shopping online = saving $$$ = :) husband = :( Sarah

With more time on my hands to daydream, I was reminded of a cool, modern store here in Sacramento named Lumens. Lumens specialize in light design but also carry home furnishings and cool little nick knacks.
On my recent trip to check out these amazing pendants I am lusting after, I found the coolest kids chairs.

Bring on the color

They have several colors to chose from, transparent crystal, pink, light blue and glossy white, red and black.
I would love to have the clear/transparent Lou Lou chairs for my sons table in our kitchen, but with the high price tag, I will be kept dreaming.
