How was your weekend my friends? Do anything fun? This weekend was low key for us since the hubs still isn't 100%. On Friday night, the hubs brother and wife, her sister now nanny and their two wee ones came into town for a quick visit. On Saturday morning I made a yummy breakfast which consisted of pancakes, eggs and bacon (cooked Barefoot Contessa style). Following our feast, the adults and kids went outside and us (the adults) enjoyed watching the kids play. Shortly after our fun outside the hubs brother and family departed (they headed off to Napa). Everyone was pooped from playing so the kids (which includes the hubs) went down for a nap. I on the other hand headed off to my local salon and got a bit pampered by my girl Carly. She always primps my face to make me feel pretty or at least free of my unwanted brown hair. I wax my eyebrows and upper lip, is that TMI? For my next visit I scheduled a microdermabrasion. I have only had this done once before but I am in need of a serious facial. What are your best anti-aging secrets girls?
After being primped I came home and cooked the kids some dinner. Nothing fancy since I was short on time so Dinosaur nuggets were it along with fruit.
Following the boys dinner, grandma aka the sitter, come over to watch the boys.
Why? Eric, the hubs had his 20 year high school reunion ( I am younger than him :) ) to attend and I was his escort. I wish we had brought our camera so I could share the night with you all but minus photos we still had a blast.
Sunday was fun. The boys played in the morning and I drank a lot of coffee. My ONE glass of wine seemed to be ONE too many. Not hungover too many just tired. While drinking my coffee I scoured my many magazines which to me equals heaven.
In the afternoon, we headed off to the mall to check out the mac store. We are shopping for back up software and a computer for the boys for christmas. Of course while there we stopped off at many more stores, my favorite being Restoration Hardware.
The hubs and I LOVE this store and have been eyeing a few pieces that we are getting closer to pulling the plug on. What you ask? Why, let me show you.....
